DuVoice Opens Up Hospitality Vertical for CISCO resellers
The popular DuVoice hospitality software is now available Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM) and CISCO unified Communication Manager Express (CME). The DuVoice package provides a full suite of hospitality features at price that make the CISCO solutions more competitive in this vertical market.
The Product:DuVoice provides messaging for staff, guests, guest wake up calls and PMS interface for CISCO. The system integrates with Cisco CUCM and CME through SIP trunks and CISCO APIs. The application can run on a DuVoice provided server, on a customer provided dedicated server, or in a VMware environment.
The DuVoice solution enables CISCO CUCM and CME to integrate with all Property Management System (PMS) products.
Using CISCO’s AXL and XML APIs, DuVoice provides first and last name, and room phone control (limiting long distance access based on guest status) to the CUCM and CME. Other Hospitality functions including wakeup calling, failed wakeup call alerts, DND, room move, and housekeeping status are also supported by the DuVoice solution.
The first implementationof the DuVoice / Cisco application was deployed in May of 2012 at the Princess Cruises Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge in Alaska. This is one of several Princess Cruise resorts in Alaska to use the DuVoice solution, but the first on CISCO.
Market Impact:“CISCO is the dominant player in the IP telephony market,” observed Jon Dulude, DuVoice CEO. “Compared to the alternative, our solution is very cost effective and will allow CISCO and their resellers to pursue markets that were not available to them before. This market also represents a great opportunity for existing DuVoice resellers worldwide.”
DuVoice is currently a member of the Cisco Developer Network.
