The network connection to the IP office keeps disconnecting, why? |

The network connection to the IP office keeps disconnecting for no apparent reason. The voicemail can access the internet and other network resources, I can ping the ip office but manager or tapi cannot connect. It works for awhile but eventually just stops.
Most likely another machine is using the same ip address. A really good way of checking for this is to look at the IP-to-Physical address translation table on the voicemail.
1. From a command prompt type the following: arp -a 2. Look for your ip office's ip address in the address column. 3. Write down the physical address for that ip in column two. 4. If it changes or is not the same as your ip Office, then somebody is using your ip address. |
