The DuVoice portion of the solution includes:

  • Simplified voice mail for residents / guests
  • Health check calls to residents
  • DID number assignment
  • Staff voicemail, faxmail & unified messaging
  • Emergency Paging
  • Patient Contact Tracking
  • 911 alert to staff (Avaya IP Office only)
  • Web enabled resident administration tools

DuVoice can help improve the quality of life for residents and the quality of the bottom line for facilities

Resident Messaging

In facilities where residents require voice mail, DuVoice provides a simplified solution that mimics the home answering machine that residents may already be accustomed to.

Depending on the acuity of the resident, the mailbox may include the ability to record a personal greeting and password and even have copies of messages delivered to Email. More challenged residents may have mailboxes that only allow them to play, save and delete messages.

Health Check Calls

The system can be programmed to generate automatic calls to resident telephones at specific times of day. When the call is answered, the system can play a greeting recorded daily by staff.

The system logs whether a call is answered or not and generates an alarm for unanswered calls. The system can be programmed to perform a specific number of retries at a specific interval before classifying a call as unanswered.

DID Number Assignment

In some facilities, residents require their own personal telephone numbers so outside callers can reach them directly in their quarters. DuVoice can manage a pool of DID numbers and assign them to residents as they are checked into the facility. At the end of the stay, the DID number is deactivated until some future date when it is reused.

Messaging for Staff

With DuVoice VeMail, voice mail and fax messages are delivered as attachments to Email messages. There are no special Email server or network requirements, nor do you need a special player to receive, listen to, or view messages. If you can send and receive Email, you can use DuVoice VeMail.

Fax messages are delivered as .tif or PDF files attached to Email messages. (Not available with SIP interface)

Emergency Paging

Doctors, nurses and other staff members can be paged on all or urgent messages by schedule. Notifications can be voice, pager, email or email to text.  Any combination can be used for each notification.

911 Alert

Any 911 calls can trigger a call to the operator, push text to any IP phone and/or email (to email or sms) to alert staff of a 911 call and which extension dial it. This feature is currently limed to Avaya IP Office only.

Patient Contact Tracking

As Nurses and other staff interact with residents, they can enter status codes via telephone. This will provide a permanent log of patient contacts and is especially useful in Alzheimer’s units where patients misreport contact frequency.

Track Housekeeping

As the housekeeping staff moves through the facility, they can enter a code into the telephone to indicate the status of the room—clean, dirty, in need of specific service, etc… Up to seven custom states can be defined.

Web Console

The web enabled administration module that enables staff to manage residents from any PC on the network.

  • Check residents into and out of the facility
  • Resident names entered into InnDesk are automatically passed to IP Office and displayed on staff display phones.
  • Enable / disable resident long distance access.
  • Display pending and unanswered health check calls.
  • Monitor Housekeeping status
