Backup and Restore

The 7.00 provides a means for backing up all of its configuration settings and customer data (including messages and scheduled notifications) on a regular basis, and for restoring from a specified backup when necessary.

It is good practice to perform regular system backups so that you can restore the system to a previous known good state should a serious problem arise (such as data corruption). Backup and restore can also be used to transfer the configuration for a site from a test system to the site's system by programming the configuration on the test system, running a manual backup, copying the backup file to the customer system and then running the restore process on the customer system.
